Dr. V. Lakshmanakumar, “Consultant – Clinical Microbiology and Infection Control” at Rio hospital for women and children, did his MBBS medical graduation from KMC, Chennai, Diploma in Child Health (DCH) from MMC & GRH, Madurai and MD (microbiology) from MMC & GRH, Madurai
He has certificated in “MBBS Doctors in Life Saving Anesthetic Skills for Emergency Obstetric Care” held at Madurai Medical College & Govt. Rajaji Hospital from July 2007 to Jan 2008 under National Rural Health Mission.
After completing his residency, he joined Assistant professor, Department of Microbiology at Govt Sivagangai Medical college and Secretory, Hospital infection Control Committee, Govt Sivagangai Medical college. He has completed National level Training of Master Trainers (Blended Clinical Training) for improving quality of HIV diagnostics and treatment services conducted by NACO at Hyderabad on May 27-30, 2019.


He has Completed ‘Quality Management Systems and Internal Audit’ (QMS&IA) in Medical Laboratories as per ISO 15189:2012 training on January 2019.
He has completed National level Training of Trainers ‘Laboratory Diagnosis- National Viral Hepatitis Control Programme’ (NVHCP) conducted by MoHFW and NHM at New Delhi on Nov-2018
He has Integrated Microbiology and Epidemiology Training at KAPV Govt. Med. College, Trichy on June-2017 organised by DPH and DME, Chennai under the guidance of NCDC, New Delhi.
He has Life member of the Indian Medical Association, Tamil Nadu State branch and Life member of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Tamil Nadu State branch.
He much interested in Clinical Microbiology, Infectious Disease, Molecular biology & Pediatric Intensive Care.
